Unable to see the misery of people during famine, Santh Dhamaji gives away all his grains. He also opens and distributes all the stock in the Government godown for the public . 

His assistant revenue inspector complaints to the muslim king about this. King orders arrest. On the way to the King’s jail, Santh Dhamaji Panth takes permission to have a holy bath in Chandrabhaga river and have darshan of Pandurangan and Rukumai in Padharipur.

While Dhamaji was in the temple, Vittal assumes the form of his servant – “VittuNayak” and goes to the King. He hands over money worth the cost of grains in the godown, and a letter in the handwriting of Dhamaji Panth to the King. King withdraws the arrest order.
