Lord Krishna was sad that he could not do much service to his parents…

Narada maharshi tells the story of Pundaleekan residing on the banks of Chandrabhaga river, doing great service to his parents…

Lord Krishna himself comes to see Pundaleekan. He offers a brick for Vittal to stand on, while he finished his service to his parents...

Thus came Pandurangan to this place and has been standing here eversince, for everyone to touch and feel..

Vittal is the Varadan who came to bless the Pundaleeka for doing kainkaryam to his parents.
